Light Duty

Loaded And Gone

Dead on the shoulder of I-16, wrecked at an intersection, or sitting in a driveway that will not start. We put a flatbed or a wheel lift under cars, pickups, vans and SUVs whether they roll or not. Tell us the year, make and model and whether the wheels turn — that is most of the quote right there.

Your Lot, Your Rules

Cars parked in fire lanes, tenants using spaces they do not have, and vehicles that have been abandoned in the back of the lot for months. We work with apartment complexes, retail centers and business owners on one-off removals and on standing accounts where we handle the lot on an ongoing basis.

Heavy duty towing in Savannah GA — semi trucks, trailers and equipment

Medium & Heavy Duty

Heavy-Duty Towing & Hauling

Built For The Big Stuff

Semis, trailers, box trucks and buses, plus the recovery work that comes with them — winch-outs, load shifts and vehicles that went off the road and need bringing back. We also move containers and equipment, which is its own job and worth describing on the phone so we send the right truck the first time.

Roadside assistance in Savannah GA — jump starts, tire changes and lockouts

No Tow Needed

Roadside Assistance

Fixed Where It Sits

Battery gone flat in a work lot, keys shut in the cab at the pump, a tire down on the shoulder or the tank run dry. Plenty of the calls we take never need a tow truck at all — we come to the vehicle, sort it, and you drive off. If it turns out to be more than that, we tell you straight and quote the tow.

  • Jump Starts
  • Lockouts
  • Tire Changes
  • Fuel Delivery

Why there is no price list on this page. A sedan rolled out of a parking space and a loaded trailer pulled off a soft shoulder are not the same job, and charging the same for both would mean overcharging half our customers. What we do instead is quote the actual job on the call — distance, what you are driving, where it is sitting and how hard it is to reach. Free, and you are under no obligation to book it.

How it works

Three steps and a truck is on the way

  • 1 Call and tell us three things Exactly where the vehicle is — cross streets, or the interstate and which direction you were heading, or which lot and entrance. What you are driving. Whether it rolls and steers. Those three answers decide which truck we send, and sending the right one first is what saves you time.
  • 2 Get a quote and an ETA You hear what it costs and how long before we roll — on the phone, before anyone leaves the yard. Price comes down to distance, what you are driving and how hard it is to reach, which is why we work it out on the call rather than posting a list that would be wrong for half of you.
  • 3 We come to the vehicle Shoulder, driveway, parking deck or the back of a lot — we work where the vehicle is sitting. A jump, a tire, fuel or a lockout does not need it taken anywhere. If it does need a tow, it goes wherever you tell us. We answer around the clock, including nights and holidays.

If anyone is hurt, or the vehicle is blocking a live lane on I-16 or I-95, call 911 first — then call us. Put your hazards on, and get well clear of moving traffic if you safely can. We cover Savannah and Chatham County.

One call covers light, medium and heavy duty

Everready Recovery and Towing runs out of Rogers Street in Savannah and covers Chatham County around the clock. Flatbeds and wheel lifts for cars, pickups and SUVs; heavy wreckers for semis, trailers, buses and equipment; and roadside work for the jobs that never needed a tow in the first place. One number reaches all of it.

Two ways in, depending on whether something has already gone wrong or you are setting things up before it does.

Where we run

Towing across Savannah and Chatham County

The yard is on Rogers Street in west Savannah, which puts us close to I-16 and the port. These are the areas we run most — the full list is on the service areas page.

Savannah & the islands

Downtown, midtown and the southside, out through Thunderbolt and across the bridges to the islands. Historic district streets are tight — tell us the block and which way it faces when you call.

Savannah Thunderbolt Wilmington Island Tybee Island

West Chatham

The I-16 corridor and the industrial side of the county, including the port terminals and the truck routes feeding them. This is where most of the heavy work comes from.

Pooler Garden City Port Wentworth Bloomingdale

South & down I-95

South of the city and over the county line into Bryan County. Long-distance tows out of the area are quoted on the call rather than turned away.

Vernonburg Richmond Hill Long Distance

Not sure if you are in range? Call with your cross streets or the mile marker and we will tell you before quoting anything. If you are outside what we cover we will say so rather than leave you waiting on a truck.

Questions people ask before they call

Straight answers on cost, timing, payment and what we will and will not tow.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Everready Recovery and Towing is licensed and insured for towing and recovery work throughout Savannah and Chatham County, across light, medium and heavy duty. If a property manager or an insurer needs paperwork on file before we work a job, ask on the call and we will get it to you.

How much does a tow cost in Savannah?

It depends on three things: how far the vehicle is going, what you are driving, and how hard it is to reach. A sedan rolled out of a parking space and a loaded trailer pulled off a soft shoulder are not the same job. That is why we quote the actual job on the phone instead of posting a price list that would be wrong for half the people reading it. The quote is free and you are under no obligation to book it.

How soon can you get to me?

You get an ETA on the phone before we dispatch, based on where the truck is and where you are. We do not quote a blanket response time, because a call on Abercorn at five in the afternoon is not the same as a quiet street at two in the morning. If the window slips, you get a call rather than a silent wait.

Can you tow a vehicle that will not start or has been wrecked?

Yes. Cars that will not crank, vehicles with locked wheels or damaged suspension, and vehicles that have been in a collision all get moved regularly. Tell us on the call whether it still rolls and steers, because that single answer decides whether a wheel lift will do or we need to send a flatbed.

Do you tow all-wheel-drive vehicles?

Yes, and all-wheel drive is exactly the case where the right equipment matters. Dragging an all-wheel-drive vehicle on two wheels can damage the drivetrain, so these go on a flatbed or get dollies under the free axle. Mention the drivetrain when you call and we will send the right truck the first time.

Can I ride along with the driver?

In most cases one passenger can ride in the truck. There are situations where it is not safe or not allowed, particularly on interstate recoveries, and the driver will tell you when that applies. If you cannot ride along, sort out where you are going before the truck arrives so nobody is stuck on the shoulder.

How do I pay?

Cash, debit, and Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Apple Pay and Google Pay both work as well. The price you agreed to on the phone is the price at the end of the job unless the job turns out to be something different from what was described, and in that case you hear about it before any work starts.

Do you handle long-distance tows out of the area?

Yes. Tows outside Chatham County are quoted on the call, since mileage becomes the main part of the price rather than a small part of it. Tell us the pickup point and the destination and you get a number before anything is booked.

Question not answered here? Call and ask before you commit to anything. We would rather tell you straight that we are not the right fit than send a truck that cannot do the job.
